The university council held its third meeting for the academic year 2025–2026 under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matri, and in the presence of the Vice Rector of the university, the deans of the faculties, and the members of the council. The meeting was held within the framework of following up on academic and administrative performance and enhancing the process of development across the various sectors of the university
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Nabil Abdulkarim, the Secretary-General of the university, read the minutes of the previous meeting No. (2), which were approved after reviewing the decisions and recommendations they contained. He emphasized the importance of following up on their implementation in a way that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative work at the university. The council also reviewed a number of academic files, where discussions were held on issues related to the development of academic programs and the improvement of the quality of the educational process in line with the requirements of quality assurance and academic accreditation, and in a manner that contributes to preparing qualified cadres in various medical and health specializations.
The council members also listened to a report on the organization of the First Online Scientific Conference – Ramadan Edition, sponsored by the university in cooperation with the Yemen Dental Association in Ibb Governorate. The conference featured lectures delivered by a distinguished group of senior consultants and specialists in dentistry from inside and outside the country. The council commended the technical and media efforts made by the university staff to ensure the success of the event. In another context, the council reviewed the summary of the implementation of the academic plan during the holy month of Ramadan, praising the efforts of the faculties and the teaching and administrative staff in ensuring the continuity of the educational process according to the approved plans, in a way that achieves academic discipline and ensures the proper progress of study.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the university council extended its highest congratulations and best wishes to the political leadership, the leadership of the two ministries (Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, and Ministry of Health and Environment) as well as to the Yemeni people on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Fitr. The council prayed to Allah to return this blessed occasion to Yemen and the Arab and Islamic nations with goodness, prosperity, and blessings, and to grant the homeland security, stability, and prosperity. The council also reaffirmed the university leadership’s commitment to continue efforts to develop academic and research performance and to serve the community, in a way that enhances the university’s status and its role in preparing qualified medical and health cadres to serve the nation.
