Coordination and admission system

 The provisions of the unified system for student affairs in Yemeni public universities issued by Prime Minister’s Council Resolution No. (284) of 2008 apply to students of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences in accordance with the following::

  • The admission policy is determined to serve the needs of the Republic of Yemen in general and Ibb Governorate in particular for medical and health personnel in their various specialties.
  • The University Council annually approves the coordination and admission policy based on the proposals of the faculty councils and the Student Affairs Council and submits it to the Supreme Council for Student Affairs in the Ministry of Higher Education and is approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.

For a student to be accepted into any of the university’s faculties, the following is required:

  • Have secondary school certificate (scientific section) or health secondary school.
  • The secondary school certificate must not have been completed more than five years ago.
  • To be medically fit in accordance with the faculty in which he is enrolled.

Coordination and admission to the university is divided into three systems

  • public education.
  • Parallel education.
  • Own expense.

The system of comparison between applicants for coordination and admission is determined in light of the unified student affairs regulations and in accordance with the following criteria:

  • Percentage in high school.
  • General admission tests in subjects (Chemistry – Biology – English) or as determined by the University Council.
  • personal interview.
  • To accept a certificate issued from outside Yemen, it must be authenticated by the competent authorities in the country of issuance and in Yemen and subject to equivalency from the university’s equivalency committee or the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • The student is considered registered at the university after completing the required documents in accordance with the terms and conditions of admission and paying the prescribed amounts and fees, and is given a registration number from the relevant faculty.
  • The student’s file is kept in the university’s registration archive, provided that the file contains all admission documents and all documents related to the student and his academic and financial conditions during the period of his studies at the university are added to it.
