A delegation from Jiblah University for Medical & Health Sciences participated on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the 6th International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and Their Applications (eSmarTA 2026), hosted by Dhamar University. The conference brought together a large number of academics, researchers, and experts from various universities, scientific institutions, and research centers to discuss the latest developments in smart technologies, digital transformation, and their diverse applications.

The university delegation was headed by Professor Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University for Medical & Health Sciences, and included Professor Ahmed Ali Al-Hazmi, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies; Professor Dr. Sadeq Al-Mohani, Advisor to the University Rector and Dean of Faculty of Laboratory Medicine; Dr. Mogeeb Alsaeedi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Mr. Akram Al-Ashwal, General Director of financial affairs at the university; and Mr. Mohammed Ghallab, General Director of financial affairs at Jiblah University Hospital.

The conference was inaugurated by Professor Hatem Al-Duais, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, who emphasized in his opening remarks the vital role of scientific conferences in supporting research, fostering innovation, and strengthening collaboration among universities and academic institutions in line with the rapid advancements in modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

In a special statement, Professor Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University for Medical & Health Sciences, affirmed that the university’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping pace with scientific and technological developments, engaging with leading academic experiences, and strengthening its presence at scientific conferences and events that facilitate the exchange of expertise and the advancement of academic and research performance. Dr. Al-Matari further noted that digital transformation and smart technologies have become fundamental pillars in the development of higher education institutions. He emphasized that Jiblah University for Medical & Health Sciences is making significant progress in implementing its digital transformation projects and upgrading its electronic systems, thereby enhancing the quality of administrative and academic performance while improving educational and research services.
