Faculty of Medicine at Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences concluded today, Thursday, February 5, 2026, the final course clinical examinations for the third course of its six-year students (General Medicine and Surgery). These exams are part of the academic plan designed to prepare graduates before they move into their final training phase.

The assessments, which took place at Jiblah University Hospital, concluded the Internal Medicine and Surgery Departments. The exams commenced yesterday, Wednesday, with Internal Medicine, and concluded today, Thursday,  with General Surgery. The evaluation followed rigorous standards aimed at measuring the students’ ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with field-based clinical practice.

The conclusion of these exams paves the way for the fourth and final course, scheduled to begin this coming Saturday. Spanning ten intensive weeks, this course represents the major transitional stage preceding the comprehensive final examinations (theoretical and clinical) for the Bachelor degree. Through this stage, the faculty aims to refines students’ skills and ensure they reach peak readiness for professional practice.

Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Matari,, the rector, praised the efforts of the Faculty of Medicine’s deanship and faculty members in monitory students performance and developing clinical curricula. He emphasized the university’s commitment to ensuring its medical graduates possess the high level of competence required to compete in both local and international medical market.

He also lauded the heads of the hospital departments and clinical training supervisors for providing the necessary resources for distinguished clinical training, noting that such practical experience is the defining milestone for any physician preparing for the labor market.

 “The successful conclusion of the third course reflects the faculty’s commitment to graduate doctors equipped with essential diagnostic and surgical skills,” said Dr. Abdullah Al-Matari,.  He also said,“We look forward to the final course, which will provide the finishing touches before we announce the graduation of this distinguished cohort of physicians.”

Finally, the supervising examination committees confirmed that the process followed an organized timeline and transparent evaluation criteria. They noted that the close cooperation between the faculty and the university hospital provided an ideal educational environment, allowing students to undergo clinical testing with real-world cases and advanced medical equipment.
