The university has achieved a new scientific achievement in the field of research through the publication of a scientific paper by students of the Faculty of Nursing. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of scientific research and supporting student academic activities, under the support and guidance of His Excellency the rector of the university. The title of the research is:
Knowledge of Hepatitis B among Nursing Students at Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences
The study was conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Sadiq Qaid Al-Mahni, Vice Rector of the university for academic affairs and graduate studies, and was published in the journal (BMC Public Health). It is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal, indexed in Scopus and PubMed databases, and ranked in the first category (Q1), which reflects the quality of the research and its scientific level.
The study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of nursing students about hepatitis B virus infection. The results showed that the students have a good level of knowledge about the disease, its transmission methods and prevention.
The study also revealed statistically significant relationships between students’ level of knowledge about hepatitis B virus infection and both gender and academic year. This study is an important scientific addition in the field of public health and nursing, as it plays a role in promoting health awareness among future nursing staff and contributing to improving efforts to prevent infectious diseases within the community.
