Learning outcomes

After the student completes these programs, he will be able to obtain the learning outcomes that are appropriate for each of the following skills:

Knowledge and Understanding ( knowledge and understanding )

Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of modern theories and methods in the field of midwifery and safe motherhood.
  2. Reviewing methods of health care for pregnant women and their role in maintaining the health of the mother and child.
  3. Mention the health skills and roles you have acquired.
  4. Discussing various techniques and scientific and research developments in the field of midwifery.
  5. Knowledge of the various devices and tools related to the nature of the profession.
  6. Familiarity with the six international goals for patient safety.

Cognitive Skills / Intellectual Skills ( Intellectual skills )

Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:

  1. Analyze appropriate health methods to determine their role in caring for pregnant women at various stages, ensuring the safety of the mother and newborn.
  2. Comparing the mother’s optimal health status and the current status.
  3. Analyze the disease condition to deal with it using an appropriate scientific methodology.
  4. Assessing the health problems facing the pregnant mother and newborn and deducing appropriate solutions for them.
  5. Creating behavioral and professional patterns of dealing with patients and their families.
  6. Describe administrative and health problems to devise the optimal model to address them.

Practical and Professional Skills ( practical and professional skills )

Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:

  1. Implementing comprehensive maternal and newborn health care with high efficiency.
  2. Implementing the six international goals for patient safety.
  3. Dealing with emergency situations with high efficiency.
  4. Implementation of approved medical protocols.
  5. Design health methods and tools that help the organization achieve distinguished service in the field of mother and child care.
  6. Employing professional skills (nursing – psychological support – patient followup) with high efficiency in caring for patient.
  7. Use appropriate health and technological techniques to reach a safe diagnosis to ensure the safety of the mother and newborn.
  8. Preparing plans, writing various reports, and interpreting them to help evaluate performance within the health facility.

Transferable / General Skills ( Transferable - General skills )

Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:

  1. Working within a team capable of leading it, in different professional contexts, and gaining its trust.
  2. Demonstrate healthy management skills that enable them to deal with problems and come up with clear and convincing decisions and solutions.
  3. Communicate and communicate effectively and convincingly with the surrounding community using various means and methods of communication in the context of its work.
  4. Using health methods, statistical analysis methods, and scientific research to solve practical problems.
  5. Conduct research studies in midwifery science and benefit from research results and statistical data to improve the quality of care and health services.
  6. Practicing professional ethics in a distinguished manner.
