Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences concluded this morning, Thursday, 9 July 2026, the training program organized for a delegation from Al-Dhalea University. The program was implemented within the framework of the academic and scientific cooperation agreement signed between the two universities, with the aim of exchanging expertise, building academic and administrative capacities, and strengthening institutional collaboration between higher education institutions.
The closing ceremony was attended by Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences; Prof. Ali Al-Tariq, Rector of Al-Dhalea University; Dr. Mohammed Al-Hetar, Vice Rector for Student Affairs; Prof. Sadeq Al-Mohani, Advisor to the University Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine; Dr. Mogeeb Al-Saeedi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Mr. Akram Al-Ashwal, General Director of Financial Affairs; along with a number of academic and administrative leaders from both universities.
In his speech, Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari emphasized that Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences firmly believes in the importance of integration among Yemeni universities and considers the exchange of knowledge and expertise one of the most effective means of enhancing the quality of higher education. He noted that hosting the delegation from Al-Dhalea University represents a practical implementation of the cooperation agreement and reflects Jiblah University’s commitment to sharing its academic and administrative expertise in support of the development of higher education institutions in Yemen. He explained that the training program included field visits to several university facilities, departments, and centers, as well as the university hospital. The delegation was introduced to a range of administrative and academic practices aimed at strengthening institutional efficiency and promoting the exchange of best practices between the two institutions.
For his part, Prof. Ali Al-Tariq, Rector of Al-Dhalea University, expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He praised the high quality of the training program and commended the university’s distinguished expertise in university administration, quality assurance, medical education, and digital transformation. He affirmed that the visit would contribute to transferring valuable experiences to Al-Dhalea University and further strengthening future cooperation between the two institutions.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, training certificates were awarded to the members of the Al-Dhalea University delegation in recognition of their participation in the program. The presidents of the two universities also exchanged commemorative shields as a symbol of the strong academic ties between the institutions and their shared commitment to continuing joint cooperation programs in support of higher education and scientific research. This visit forms part of a series of activities conducted under the cooperation agreement between Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences and Al-Dhalea University, which aims to establish a sustainable strategic partnership in the fields of training, quality assurance, and the exchange of academic and administrative expertise, thereby enhancing institutional performance and improving the quality of educational and research services at both universities.
