Jiblah University Hospital concluded, on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, a four-day workshop to evaluate the level of achievement of the Hospital’s Annual Operational Plan for 2025. The workshop was organized by the Department of Total Quality Management under the patronage of Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences and General Director of the University Hospital, with the participation of the hospital leadership, directors of departments, divisions, and administrative and technical units. The closing session was attended by Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University; Prof. Ahmed Al-Hazmi, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies; Dr. Mogeeb Ali Alsaeedi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Mr. Wael Almaqtri, Assistant Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; along with a number of the hospital’s academic and administrative leaders.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Al-Matari emphasized that the workshop represented an important milestone in reviewing institutional performance and assessing the implementation of the hospital’s operational plan. He noted that continuous evaluation is a fundamental pillar for improving institutional performance and enhancing the quality of healthcare services. It also contributes to strengthening institutional efficiency and optimizing the utilization of resources in line with the strategic objectives of both the university and the University Hospital. Prof. Al-Matari commended the efforts made by the Department of Total Quality Management in planning, organizing, and implementing the workshop. He also praised the active engagement of the participants and the constructive discussions and objective reviews of performance indicators. He stressed the importance of translating the workshop’s recommendations into actionable plans that would positively impact the quality of healthcare and administrative services.
Throughout the workshop, participants reviewed the progress achieved across the various components of the annual operational plan, examined the performance indicators of different departments and units, analyzed achievement rates, identified key challenges and obstacles, and discussed mechanisms for enhancing performance and promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement in accordance with the principles of institutional governance. The workshop sessions were facilitated by Ms. Fullah Al-Akhshar, Assistant General Director for Quality Affairs, who presented the methodology for evaluating operational plans, measuring performance indicators, and improving implementation and follow-up mechanisms to support the achievement of institutional objectives and enhance service quality.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, accompanied by Prof. Ahmed Al-Hazmi and Dr. Mogeeb Ali Alsaeedi, presented certificates of participation to the attendees in recognition of their commitment and active participation. They affirmed that investing in institutional capacity building is one of the key pillars of sustainable development and the continuous enhancement of administrative and service performance. The workshop forms part of the ongoing efforts of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences and its University Hospital to promote a culture of quality and institutional evaluation, strengthen planning and performance monitoring, and support continuous improvement while enhancing the quality of healthcare and educational services provided to the community.
