As part of the joint cooperation agreement between Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences and Al-Dhalea University, Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences welcomed an academic and administrative delegation from Al-Dhalea University on Tuesday morning, 7 July 2026. The delegation was headed by Prof. Ali Al-Tariq, Rector of Al-Dhalea University, as part of the implementation of the academic and scientific cooperation agreement signed between the two universities. The agreement aims to strengthen institutional partnership, exchange expertise, and build academic and administrative capacities.

The delegation was received by Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences, and Dr. Mohammed Abduh Al-Hetar, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, who warmly welcomed the visitors and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Yemeni universities in support of the development of higher education institutions and the enhancement of the quality of their academic outcomes. Al-Dhalea University delegation included Mr. Moeen Ali Al-Bukhaiti, Secretary-General of the University; Dr. Anhar Abdulkareem Yahya, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences; Mr. Saif Musaad Al-Dubaisi, Dean of the Center for Quality and Academic Development; in addition to a number of academic and administrative staff members.

During the meeting, Prof. Abdullah Al-Matari emphasized that Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences considers academic partnerships a fundamental pillar for exchanging expertise and enhancing institutional performance. He noted that the university places its academic, administrative, and training capabilities at the service of national academic institutions, thereby strengthening integration among Yemeni universities and contributing to the advancement of the higher education system. For his part, Prof. Ali Al-Tariq expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and praised Jiblah University’s distinguished academic and administrative expertise, as well as its remarkable progress in medical education, quality assurance, and academic accreditation. He expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to achieving the objectives of the cooperation agreement and establishing an effective and sustainable partnership between the two institutions.

The visit also included a coordination meeting during which participants discussed mechanisms for implementing training programs designed for Al-Dhalea University’s academic and administrative staff. These programs cover a number of academic, administrative, and technical units and are intended to facilitate the transfer of expertise and the exchange of institutional best practices between the two universities. Furthermore, the delegation toured several university facilities, including the University Hospital, where they were introduced to Jiblah University’s educational and training experience and observed the operational mechanisms of various departments and centers. They also received an overview of the university’s academic and applied programs, implemented as part of its continuous pursuit of quality and institutional excellence.

This visit reflects the commitment of both Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences and Al-Dhalea University to activate their joint cooperation agreement and strengthening partnership between higher education institutions, thereby contributing to the development of academic and administrative competencies, enhancing institutional performance, and supporting the educational process in Yemen.
