Professor Abdullah Mohammed Al-Matari, Rector of the University, inaugurated the Graduation Research Conference for the 2025–2026 academic year on the morning of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Al-Razi Hall. The conference commenced with the discussion of graduation research projects presented by fifth-level students from the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine, reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting scientific research and fostering a culture of knowledge production among its students. In his opening remarks, the rector of the university emphasized that scientific research is one of the fundamental pillars of higher education development. He noted that the university is dedicated to provide a stimulating academic environment that enables students to apply scientific methodologies in studying health-related issues and developing research-based solutions that serve both the community and the healthcare sector.

The conference sessions featured presentations and discussions of research projects conducted by fifth-level students. The student researchers were divided into four scientific groups to ensure that the discussions were conducted in a well-organized academic setting, allowing the scientific committees to evaluate the quality, methodology, and findings of each research project. The presented studies addressed a range of significant medical and laboratory science topics relevant to various aspects of community health and scientific research. The research projects were evaluated by specialized scientific committees chaired by Professor Ahmed Al-Hazmi, with committee members Dr. Jameel Obeid, Dr. Majed Al-Mazjaji, Dr. Rashad Al-Azab, and Dr. Khadeejah Al-Hetar, who assessed the research and examined the students according to approved academic and scientific standards.

The discussion sessions were attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Hetar, Vice Rector for Student Affairs; Dr. Mogeeb Ali Alsaeedi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Noud, Faculty Member; and Mr. Wael Al-Maqtari, Assistant Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance. They commended the high quality of the research projects and praised the students’ commitment to applying scientific methods in addressing issues related to their field of specialization. The organization of the Graduation Research Conference forms part of Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences’ strategic vision to strengthen scientific research, connect it with priority health issues, and encourage students to produce high-quality scholarly research that contributes to the advancement of medical knowledge and enhances the outcomes of higher education in line with the university’s academic and research mission.
