The visit came within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and reviewing the university’s experience in medical education.

The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Matari, Rector of the University; Prof. Sadeq Al-Mohni, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies; Dr. Mohammed Al-Hetar, Vice President for Student Affairs; Prof. Ahmed Ali Al-Hazmi, Dean of the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine; Dr. Mujeeb Ali Al-Saidi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance; along with a number of university leaders. The Rector of the University welcomed the delegation, emphasizing that the university is making significant progress year after year across various aspects, including infrastructure and academic programs. He noted that the university’s graduates have begun entering the labor market, highlighting that three batches have graduated from the Faculties of Laboratory Medicine, Nursing, and Midwifery. These graduates are already contributing directly to improve the healthcare sector, having been well-prepared in both practical and clinical aspects-particularly as the university is supported by a long-established teaching hospital that plays a vital role in preparing graduates for the workforce.

The visit included a field tour during which the delegation reviewed the progress of the educational process, the level of academic performance, and several facilities under construction. This reflects the university’s commitment to continuous expansion and development. The delegation also visited departments of Jiblah University Hospital and various university facilities, where they received detailed briefings on operational mechanisms, educational and training equipment, and their role in qualifying students according to modern standards. During the visit, discussions were held on prospects for developing higher education and enhancing the role of universities in advancing education and serving the community, in line with current needs and with the aim of improving the quality of academic outcomes.
