As part of the academic and practical activities organized by Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, and in line with its commitment to strengthen students’ practical competencies, the first practical examination for second-year students in the course Adult Health Nursing was successfully launched this morning, April 22, 2026, in the Nursing Lab. The examination was conducted under the supervision of: Dr. Najla Iskandar; Dr. Jihan Al-A’raj; and Dr. Wajeeh Al-Wasiyya. This examination aims to assess students’ fundamental clinical skills and evaluate their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting that simulates real healthcare environments. Such efforts contribute to preparing qualified nursing professionals capable of delivering safe and effective healthcare.

 

The exam included the application of several essential nursing skills, most notably mastering various injection techniques, proper wound care procedures including cleaning and dressing according to sterilization standards, and providing patient nutrition using methods appropriate to their health conditions while ensuring safety and preventing complications. It also covered training in fluid management and monitoring fluid balance within the patient’s body, in addition to developing skills in urinary catheter insertion and proper care. The examination was conducted in an organized environment reflecting the high level of preparation by the teaching staff and the students’ commitment to acquiring practical skills. Students demonstrated a notable level of precision and dedication throughout their performance.

 

At the conclusion of the launch, the Faculty of Nursing at Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences reaffirmed its continued support for the educational and training process, and its ongoing commitment to graduate distinguished nursing professionals equipped with both scientific knowledge and practical skills, capable of meeting the demands of the healthcare labor market.
