Jiblah University Hospital is located in the historic city of Jiblah in Ibb Governorate in the Republic of Yemen. It is located on a green hill with a total area estimated at approximately (51,000) m2, and the site is approximately (6440) feet above sea level, within Jiblah University for Medical and Health Sciences.
The hospital was opened in 1965 AD by the American Baptist Association by concluding an agreement with the Yemeni Ministry of Health to provide many important medical services to citizens at nominal prices and charitable services. The hospital received the Ministry of Public Health and Population from the Association in 2003 AD..
With a great desire from the state’s senior leadership and the Ministry of Public Health and Population to maintain its work pattern, the hospital administration did not limit itself to preserving what was present, but also worked on the continuous development and modernization of various medical services as well as the infrastructure in line with comprehensive quality requirements.
It is as if the hospital is one of the limited medical centers in Yemen, as it has been providing its services to all governorates of the Republic since its founding until now, and starting with a limited bed capacity, not exceeding 40 beds, with surgical operations performed on limited days of the week, and with the continued activity of the hospital, its medical services expanded in terms of type and quantity. Until it reached 222 beds in 2019, and this development was also accompanied by a renaissance in the educational field until it became a university hospital that includes the following services:
